Mobile configuration

• MTP Emulator app

  · If you have not already done so, install the app from Google Play.

• App permissions

  · From the apps menu in settings, make sure to allow notifications for the app and that app permissions are not removed if the app is unused.
  · Notifications are only displayed to indicate when the app is running connection and/or timer services. If notifications are not allowed, you will not see when these services are active.

• Mobile data

  · From the apps menu in settings, make sure to allow the use of mobile data in the background for the app.
  · If you do not, the connection to the watches will be lost when the app is not running in the foreground or when the screen turns off.

• Battery

  · From the apps menu in settings, make sure the app battery usage is unrestricted.
  · If you do not, the connection to the watches will be lost when the app is not running in the foreground or when the screen turns off.

• Wi-Fi

  · If you have a smartwatch with Wi-Fi connectivity to keep score, you will need both the mobile and the watch to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network (see Connection modes below).
  · If you have access to a Wi-Fi network where you play, you can connect to it and then also connect the watch to that same Wi-Fi.
  · If you do not have access to a Wi-Fi network, you can always activate your mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, thus creating a Wi-Fi network with your own mobile. Write down its name and password so you can later connect the watch to this Wi-Fi.

• Bluetooth

  · If you have a smartwatch paired with your mobile via Bluetooth, you can also use it to keep score, although with limitations (see Connection modes below).
  · If you have a speaker with Bluetooth connectivity to listen to the scoreboard messages, activate the Bluetooth connection on your mobile to connect to it.

Smartwatch configuration

  · If you have not already done so, install the app from Google Play.

• Wi-Fi

  · You must connect the watch to the same Wi-Fi network your mobile is connected to (see Connection modes below).

• Bluetooth

  · Also, you can use your smartwatch paired with your mobile via Bluetooth to keep score, although with limitations (see Connection modes below).

Bluetooth speaker configuration

• Connection with mobile

  · Simply activate the Bluetooth connectivity on your mobile and connect the speaker to it.

Connection modes

• Wi-Fi connection (recommended)

  · This is the recommended connection because its range guarantees the connection between the mobile and the watch throughout the entire court.
  · In addition, this connection allows you to connect 2 watches to the mobile to keep score between 2 players.
  · To use Wi-Fi connection, you must select it from the mobile app by executing the Watch connection action, and from the watch app by executing the Connection action. These actions can only be executed while there is no active connection between the apps.
  · You must make sure that both the mobile and the watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  · You should also make sure that the watch Bluetooth connectivity is disabled, as the watch Android system (Wear OS) disconnects Wi-Fi connectivity (even if you have it enabled) while Bluetooth connectivity is active, to save battery life.

• Paired connection (not recommended)

  · This connection is not recommended because it uses Bluetooth connectivity, which only has a range of 10 meters, which is insufficient to cover the entire court. This is why you will experience connection issues when you move to the farthest areas of the court.
  · Additionally, this connection only allows you to use of the watch paired with your mobile. You can not connect a friend's watch at the same time, as his watch will not be paired with your mobile.
  · To use Paired connection, you must select it from the mobile app by executing the Watch connection action, and from the watch app by executing the Connection action. These actions can only be executed while there is no active connection between the apps.

• Start and finish the connection between the apps

  · Finally, regardless of the connection mode chosen, you can start the connection process between the apps by executing the Connect to watch action from the mobile app and the Connect action from the watch app.
  · When you have finished playing the match, don't forget to finish the connection between the apps by executing the Disconnect from watch / Disconnect from watches action from the mobile app or the Disconnect action from the watch apps. This will close the communication services and save battery life on all devices.
